ENHANCED member support through expanded risk management grants, covering areas such as Security Cameras, Drone Operations, Cybersecurity, Wildfire Mitigation, Sewer Cameras/Cleanup, Jail Operations, Evidence Rooms, Law Enforcement Operations, Mental Health, Critical Incidents, and Lexipol for Police/Fire.

ADVOCATED for effective risk management practices and safety through engaging trainings and quarterly publications, including Real-Time Risk, Safety Shorts, and Siren Call newsletters.

DESIGNED and enhanced public safety-focused trainings.

CONDUCTED statewide sessions on Active Threat Training, Use of Force Training, Crisis Intervention Team strategies, De-Escalation techniques, Risk Management practices, Defensive Driving, BELOW 100™, and PTSD guidance.

UPDATED the online Wildfire Response Resources page to support communities impacted by devastating wildfires.

DELIVERED creative and actionable guidance and training to CIS members on a range of current and evolving employment law and employee relations topics, including Paid Leave Oregon, workplace discrimination and harassment, and managing remote employees.

FOCUSED on minimizing litigation expenses through the Pre-Loss and Hire-to-Retire program.

OPTIMIZED the functionality of Contact Resource Management (CRM) software to strengthen collaboration across CIS departments — and increase visibility of member milestones.

ACHIEVED a new record for Employee Open Enrollment meetings (51) by traveling throughout Oregon, in addition to providing 43 virtual and pre-recorded options.

INCREASED capacity for benefits analytics and data management by hiring a Benefits Systems Analyst to support benefits-related operations.

REFINED automated processes to streamline COBRA/Retiree administration.

MAINTAINED valuable quarterly employee benefits training sessions for Employer Administrators.

COORDINATED BAC (Benefit Advisory Committee) meetings throughout Oregon to gather essential feedback from members.
