All of us at CIS enjoyed reconnecting in person this year. The pandemic delayed our annual conference to August, but it was one of our best. We also crisscrossed the state and reached more of you than ever.
Risk management and public safety consultants came to you with expert advice. The pre-loss and hire-to-retire teams added stops in their popular fall supervisor series. The benefits team held a record number of on-site open enrollment meetings from Joseph to Ashland.
I hit the road too and met with agencies along the way. While we value all our business partners, there’s one partner relationship that bound CIS directly with our members — local agents. Supplementing our remote interactions through the pandemic, your local agent remained close and kept us informed.
Of course, virtual services remained key, and the CIS Learning Center broke records for the third year in a row. Nearly 25,000 courses were completed online.
As more was done virtually, cyber risks grew. CIS introduced an enhanced cyber coverage program and added a cybersecurity specialist who helped members protect their systems and networks.
